Busy busy busy....

Ok guys and girls, I have been very busy with work (after having been given more hours during the week) and also Christmas shopping! I love Christmas shopping (most of the time) but I have found that I can only really do it properly when I'm alone. If I am with someone, usually my sister, I get distracted and completely forget what I have gone into town for and end up coming away empty handed, which is not good.

This year I vowed to start early and buy people's gifts as soon as I got paid to beat the mad rush. I must admit, I have started and I am slightly ahead of schedule compared to last year. The only problem is my Mother- what on earth do I get her? She's usually the most easy person to buy for, but not this year! If any of you have any suggestions the I'd be happy to hear them :) To give you a heads up as well: she has tons of necklaces, rings etc, perfume is a no no due to my Dad buying her that every year, and she can also be fussy when it comes to clothes! She is very difficult to buy for, as I feel she deserves something unique and more of a surprise to her than the normal perfume etc.

Anyway that is it for now as yet again I have work this evening and I need to eat!

So many dreams, too little time....

The title says it all really. From personal experience, I know that having a dream is the most wonderful thing in the world; it's when you come to realise how badly you want it that's the problem. I have had many a dream from an early age and it hasn't occured to me until reccently that dreams rarely come true; especially if they are as unrealistic as mine.
The lucky few that pursue and chase their dreams, usually achieve what they set out to, and I applaud those lucky people. Some people are too frightened to chase theirs and some just plain lazy. Some even don't realise they  have a dream until it's "too late".

In my eyes, it's never too late to follow your dream. I am just starting to realise that good things in life don't get handed to you on a plate, and that you have to go out there and show everyone what you are made of and what you can achieve. Having people around you and people in the media to admire are a massive bonus. I'm lucky to say that I do have a few people that inspire me. I have people around me that I love and who love me in return and I wouldn't know what I'd do without them.

Love to you all, and never give up on your dreams!!

Spiders!! Eek!

I walked into the utility room to check how dry the clothes were on the clothes airer and what do I find? A massive spider the size of mars, sitting on my wall! Okay, I admit, I jumped and made a "squeak" noise to show my displeasure at the sight of this massive black, hairy spider! Yes okay, it wasnt that huge but it did give me a fright, and it did have a large body rather than long legs! (Not that that makes it any better!)

Picture this: me being all "Ninja-like"; so I grab a newspaper and silently roll it up. Then WHACK I smack the spider, flat against the wall! It didn't even see me coming! This seems cruel I admit, but let me carry on....

Right, you probably have guessed by now that I have a HUGE phobia of spiders; so to even go near one, let alone kill one is a massive achievment for me! My point is, you can be scared of anything but at some point in your life, you will have to deal with it and tackle it as it comes. This is only rhe start of my fears, but I do feel as if I have achieved something great by killing this particular spider all by myself.

Finally I would like to say R.I.P to the spider I killed tonight, and thank you for helping me to get over my fear! Next step- touching/holding a spider!!!!

I shall inform you all if I ever do such a thing! Good night and thanks for reading this :)

Hello there!

I have been itching to do one of these for a very long time, and today I thought "Why don't I start it today?". So here I am, but where do I begin?

Well, firstly I would like to start by thanking Fleur De Force because without her, I would never have seen her blogs and signed up for my own account! For those of you that don't know her, Fleur is an amazing young woman who offers beauty advice, tips and personal views on products already on the market. She tries alot of the products herself (well, all of them!) and informs everyone of their pro's and con's. I subscribed to her Youtube page a few days ago, simply by chance, and I think her channel is brilliant. Well done Fleur! I suggest you all go and check her Blog page, as well as her Youtube channel out. :)

Ok, so for any of you out there that are kindly taking the time to actually read my Blog, I would like to thank you as well. I would also like to mention my main passion (other than writing of course) and that is Music. I am a great believer in Music and the Arts in general. I have my favourite artists and my favourite bands, but nothing compares to my ultimate favourite, and that is the band, Muse! How do I even begin to tell you about them? Hopefully most of the world by now do know about Muse and recognises their true ability to perform and create amazing pieces of music. I will go into great detail throughout my Blog posts no doubt, and I will apologise in advance!

If any of you would like me to speak about a specific topic, then feel free to let me know!

Love you all, Laura xxxx
